Redr Malaysia Fund Raising Golf 2024
Swinging for a Cause!
Redr Malaysia recently hosted the much-anticipated ‘Redr Malaysia Fund Raising Golf 2024’ at the beautiful Bangi Golf Resort on Saturday, 29th June 2024. With a bright 8:00 am start, the event saw 70 passionate golfers tee off, competing across 18 flights in two exciting categories: Open and Senior (60+). The day concluded with a lively lunch and prize-giving ceremony at 2:00 pm.
Congratulations to our champions! 🏆 En. Senin Rahim dominated the Open category with 40 points and a handicap of 5, while Dato’ Hassan Md Amin secured victory in the Senior category, scoring 39 points with a handicap of 6. And let’s not forget En. Mohamad Arif Yusof, who nailed the Bullseye challenge! 🎯
This marks RedR Malaysia’s fourth fundraising event, and it’s all for a great cause! The funds raised will go towards training and deploying volunteers who bring engineering expertise to disaster sites, both in Malaysia and around the world. 🌍

Workshop Update!
RedR Executive Committee members Mr. Ahmad Ashrin, Mr. Faizal Ramli, Mr. Wan Effandi, and Mr. Hairi Akhir organized a half-day workshop to update key training modules. They evaluated:
🚰 WASH: Principles of water, sanitation, and hygiene in emergencies.
🚑 EHP: Fundamentals of humanitarian work and emergency operations.
🛡️ PSC: Risk management, safety, and security in humanitarian contexts.

New Training Program!
RedR Malaysia is training on KitaMATCH, the first national-level digital platform for streamlining humanitarian aid! This real-time, cloud-based hub offers a comprehensive view of Malaysia’s Social Sector Humanitarian Response. With it, RedR can monitor aid requests, collaborate with other organizations, and enhance decision-making.

Involvement in Early Recovery Programme during Northeast Monsoon 2021 in Selangor
RedR Malaysia were involved in early recovery programme in several locations in Selangor during the Northeast Monsoon in late 2021. The programme involved NGOs, volunteers from Selangor Chief Minister office and State Assemblyman office as well as volunteers from within and outside the state of Selangor.
